Allsorts Community Volunteers form the backbone of the organisation. By generously offering their time and skills, our Community Volunteers support Allsorts to run our specialist LGBT+ youth groups across Sussex.
All volunteers receive training around a range of issues relating to LGBT+ and unsure young people and the Allsorts community. Topics include safeguarding, listening skills, and behaviour management. We also offer both individual and group supervision, reasonable travel expenses and regular social events for the volunteer team. Volunteering opportunities for fundraising are also available and much appreciated!
Allsorts is not currently recruiting Community Volunteers. All future opportunities will be posted here. For an informal chat about the role or to register your interest for future volunteer recruitments, please get in touch at
volunteering@allsortsyouth.org.uk.
We particularly welcome applications from individuals of BAME (black, Asian, minority ethnicity) backgrounds, as this identity is currently underrepresented in our volunteer group.
"Being an Allsorts volunteer means the world to me! I love coming to the groups, preparing food, playing games with young people and being a friendly face. It’s always a pleasure and I hope to volunteer for many years to come. If you’re thinking about volunteering, do it!"
