Family Support Worker

We are looking to recruit an experienced and knowledgeable Family Support Worker* who can devise, develop and deliver a range of services and interventions to support parents, carers and the wider families of LGBT+, and, in particular, trans and non-binary children and young people.  The Family Support Worker will working alongside Allsorts’ Family Support Manager and join a growing, professional and passionate team who support LGBT+ and exploring children, young people and their families and challenge exclusion, prejudice and discrimination in all areas of their lives.

Our Family Support Service began approximately eight years ago with a very small Parents/Carers Support Group.  Over the years we have seen an increasing demand from parents/carers and other family members requiring support, information, advice and guidance. We are delighted to now be in a position to appoint a dedicated, full-time Family Support Worker and are excited by the potential for the expansion and development of this service.  The successful candidate will have scope to help creatively shape this service.

LGBT+ Youth Support Worker

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and/or Trans (LGBT+) Youth Support Worker* to induct young people into the project, facilitate groups and offer one-to-one support. You will also act as a positive LGBT+ role-model for our service users.

You will join a growing, professional and passionate team who support LGBT+ and exploring children, young people and their families and challenge exclusion, prejudice and discrimination in all areas of their lives. As part of the LGBT+ Youth Support Work team,you will be required to plan and deliver engaging and educational youth groups, programmes and events. Therefore, you must have paid or voluntary experience of youth work or similar.

LGBT+ Advocacy Worker

We are looking to recruit an experienced and knowledgeable LGBT+ Young People’s Advocacy Worker* in West Sussex. You will join a growing,professional and passionate team who support LGBT+ or exploring children, young people and their families and challenge exclusion, prejudice and discrimination in all areas of their lives. 

The Advocacy service is available to LGBT+ or exploring young people ages 11-25 with a West Sussex postcode. This service supports LGBT+ or exploring children and young people to make important decisions about their needs and ensures their wishes and feelings are expressed and acted upon to improve their situation and to help them build a better future.  The service is free to use, confidential,non-judgemental, led by the young person and independent from other services and professionals.
