I have been volunteering at Allsorts for 20 plus years. I have met some great young people and I am always impressed by how much every young person brings to the drop in's. If anyone is thinking of volunteering I would very much encourage them to give it a try. I am very proud to be a volunteer with the Allsorts team.

I went to Allsorts as a young teen and it was my safe space - it made me feel more confident in myself and gave me a community, and that’s exactly why I’m volunteering now! I love chatting to everyone and helping to create a safe and happy space where amazing young people can express themselves.

I absolutely look forward to my volunteering sessions with Allsorts every month! Every time we meet I learn something new and more so about myself  (usually how little I know!!). It’s a great way to give something back to the community and be there for the young people – to be the person I needed when I was a young person.

Being able to be your most authentic self is such an empowering feeling and I want to help young people feel proud and able to express themselves freely no matter what. I especially want to serve as an advocate for LGBT+ People of Colour and help them to flourish despite the adversities they may face.

I love volunteering at Allsorts and meeting all the incredible young people as well as all the people that make Allsorts happen! It’s great to be a part of a community creating safe, inclusive spaces for every young person. Something that is so important now more than ever, and I wish was around when I was younger.

I am an experienced youth worker and I love volunteering at Allsorts because the young people have unique perspectives on the world and encourage me to challenge how I think. There are always new, fun and exciting things happening at Allsorts and I am happy to be a part of it!
