LGBTQ+ Awareness Workshops & Assemblies

For Children & Young People

Our workshops and assemblies for children and young people can be tailored to the needs of any organisation that is looking to educate their young people or students to have a better understanding of issues relating to sexual orientation, gender identity and specifically LGBTQ+ issues and is looking to ensure their organisation is an LGBTQ+ inclusive environment.

Our workshops will explore the issues and challenges that Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual,Trans, or those who are unsure of their sexual orientation or gender identity, children and young people face, how they are impacted by these, and how best to support them
We will explore ways to make our youth groups, colleges and organisations safer and more LGBT inclusive by exploring ways of identifying and challenging homophobia, biphobia and transphobia.
We have two very well established workshops, one that focuses more on sexual orientation and bullying and the other focuses more on gender identity and trans issues.

LGBTQ+ Peer Educators

As part of our LGBT+ youth volunteering programme, we have trained a group of LGBT+ YouthPeer-Educators who are available to support the facilitation of workshops, depending on their availability.

They speak about their own experiences and issues they faced growing up as LGBTQ+.

For more information please contact our trainer via email us or call us on 01273 721211.
"I just wanted to say how pleased I was with our LGBT awareness day. Each class I visited were so engaged and motivated. It was lovely to see how thoughtful and inclusive our pupils are. We are thinking that next year’s Year 11's will make up a really positive student qualities and diversity group."
“Thank you very much for your kind commitment to and support of the Yr 7 LGBTU days. You put in a lot of work and effort to the successful planning and delivery of the days, above and beyond our normal weighty commitments. It is much appreciated.”
“I really feel very strongly that it should be compulsory for all workers and managers should do this brilliant training.”
