Allsorts of Fundraising

Allsorts Champions are the individuals, groups, and organisations that have  demonstrated exceptional support for our project, children and young people.

The Allsorts Champions provide us with outstanding contributions through their volunteer work, fundraising achievements and generous donations.

Our Allsorts of Love enamel badge is a token of our deep appreciation, a heartfelt thank you to our closest supporters, and an emblem of the Allsorts community. We hope that they are received and worn with pride as we are sincerely proud to award them.

The badges are an extension of our gratitude for the contributions the Allsorts Champions make towards listening to, supporting & connecting LGBT+ children and young people and those unsure of their gender identity and/or sexual orientation.

Meet the Champions

Community Volunteer

I have been volunteering for Allsorts since 2002 and it's the most enjoyable and rewarding thing I have done. For me volunteering has been more like a vocation. I have seen the project change as the needs of the clients have changed. To volunteer for as long as me, everyone needs some motivation but for me it's because I still enjoy the drop ins just as much as I did back in 2002.

Allsorts Youth Project is one of my chosen charities for 2019-2020. The work that Allsorts Youth Project does is important; supporting and connecting young people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans or unsure of their sexual orientation. It’s vital that young people get peer support, know that they are not alone, that there are people that they can talk to and people who will listen, when they feel unsure. That’s what Allsorts is about and that is why I support them.

Community Fundraiser

Allsorts is an incredible charity that I will always support! Their work is vital for many young people, children and families in the city. They respond to needs quickly with such grace, care and creativity. Young people who have performed at the events show us all their beauty, resilience, spirits and of course ooze powerful talent. I wish I had the opportunity when I was young to have been part of an incredible space and community. LOVE YOU ALLSORTS!

Trustee at Allsorts

Both personally and professionally I’ve always been aware of the particular challenges facing young LQBTQ+ people. It was reassuring to know I could refer a young LGBTQ+ person to the safe space and support provided by Allsorts. I’m therefore delighted to be a Trustee of Allsorts and very proud to be part of Allsorts continuing work supporting and building confidence in our young people. Community Fundraisers

We support Allsorts because they do vital work with LGBTU+ children and young people who need support now more than ever. It’s comforting to us as trans and  genderqueer people to know that vulnerable young members of the LGBT+ community have a place like Allsorts that will support, empower and advocate for them, as well as providing a space where young people can connect and express themselves. We were proud to raise funds for them and hope to do so again!

Community Fundraiser

I chose to fundraise for Allsorts because I think the work that the group does is so essential and meaningful. I hope that younger generations of LGBTQ+ people will benefit in countless ways from the support Allsorts provides.
