LGBT Youth Support Development Worker (West Sussex)


22 hours a week  

Salary: NJC Scale Point 27 – £24,174 per annum pro rata

(fixed-term contract until 31st March 2018, with potential for renewal subject to funding)


Allsorts Youth Project are looking to employ an experienced Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Trans (LGBT) Youth Support Development Worker* to develop and launch a pilot LGBTU youth support project in West Sussex.  The project will provide youth support for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Unsure young people between the ages of 11 -19 years old.   

The role will include provision of one-to-one support work and facilitation of regular young people’s youth groups.  As well as networking with key professionals, schools and youth services in West Sussex.

In this role you will need to regularly visit a range of venues in West Sussex and so an ability to drive and regular access to a car is highly desirable.


The pilot project is initially funded until 31st March 2018, with potential for renewal subject to funding.
