Training & Consultancy

Staff Training

According to the recent Stonewall Teachers Report (2014), almost 9 in 10 secondary school teachers, and almost half of primary school teachers, report that pupils in their schools have experienced homophobic bullying.

Schools have a statutory duty to tackle all forms of bullying including homo/bi/transphobic bullying, as well as a duty of care to ensure the safety and protect the wellbeing of all their students.

Allsorts can provide LGBT Awareness Training or specific Trans Awareness Training for school staff at both secondary and primary schools, colleges and youth projects.

We work in partnership with the Standards and Achievements team (Brighton & Hove) and Public Health Schools, to provide training and workshops for schools based in Brighton & Hove and East and West Sussex.

Allsorts can provide tailor-made LGBT Awareness/Trans Awareness training for staff at your organisation. The training can cover a range of issues including: homophobia, biphobia and transphobia awareness; creating safe and supported spaces for LGBT people; and monitoring LGBT service users.

Workshops for young people at schools, youth projects and colleges

Allsorts can provide workshops for young people and students at schools, youth projects and colleges. The workshops explore issues around sexual orientation, gender identity and homo/bi/transphobic language and bullying.
