With messages and images taken from our resource booklet: Healthy Heads & Hearts, this video is for young people and by young people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or trans or who think they may be. Allsorts Team Up With BLAGSS Softball Team
The young people of Allsorts Youth Project, staff and volunteers joined up with the BLAGSS Softball team for a game & a picnic the evening of 2nd August 2011.

Saturday 25th June, 9 of us from Allsorts Youth Project took part in a friendly against other LGBTQ football teams from Brighton in aid of The Justin Campaign. We played against The Justin Fashanu All-Stars, LGBTQ Sussex, and LGBT Switchboard.

Children in need 2007
Young people from Allsorts Youth Project and two workers, Emma Welsh and Richard Gladman, appeared live on BBC’s Children In Need. This came after the Brighton-based LGBT youth group were awarded money from the BBC charity to cover the running costs for a mental health project.
Emma Welsh, a youth support worker at Allsorts, says: “At Allsorts we want to promote positive mental health for LGBT young people to support them to express their emerging identities, their distresses and their hopes for the future. The money awarded from Children In Need will help us immensely in enabling us to do this.”

This video was shown in the southeast region part of the programme as well as Southeast Today, where several young people gave their personal testimonies surrounding homophobia and life living as an LGBT youth.
