Volunteers/Jobs
Volunteering at Allsorts
Volunteers play an important role in the work we do at Allsorts. The following are the main ways volunteers can get involved:
Drop-in Volunteers
Drop-in volunteers support our staff team at our weekly drop-in (Tuesday evenings). This involves:
- Participating in the programme of activities (workshops, games, arts and crafts, trips etc.) and assisting the staff team in the facilitation of these.
- Helping to prepare and serve food for the young people and to clear up afterwards
- Listening and providing emotional support to the young people as they are often facing quite challenging life situations
We provide extensive training and regular supervision for all volunteers. As well as the enjoyable experience of working at the drop-in, benefits of volunteering for Allsorts include: reimbursement of travel fees, a free meal at the drop-in and a personal development plan. Drop-in volunteers may also be able to help us on our residential trips.
We currently have a waiting list for volunteer applicants. If you would like an application form or more information, please contact Marianne, the Volunteering Development Worker at info@allsortsyouth.org.uk or 01273 721211
Administrative Support Volunteer
We are currently looking for a volunteer to provide administrative support to our Project Director. Tasks include: office maintenance, shopping for our drop-in, basic admin etc. For more information, contact Marianne at the above contact details.
Other Volunteering Opportunities
We are also currently in the process of developing several other volunteering opportunities including Study Support Volunteers for Allsorts young people who need extra help with their studies. For more information about this and other new volunteering opportunities, watch this space.
Paid Vacancies
We currently have no paid vacancies and we do not recruit from agencies.
